Cranbourne Turf Club

LIGHTS, CRANBOURNE, ACTION!

Cranbourne Turf Club comes alive again THIS Thursday 5th April when the club flicks on the lights for the third night meeting ever at Cranbourne Turf Club. With over 5,000 patrons on hand to witness the very successful first meeting under the lights on Friday 9 March, the excitement has grown for the remaining four race meetings of the inaugural Brown's Sawdust & Shavings Night Racing Season of 2011/12 at Cranbourne.

The hustle and bustle on the track will begin with the first race at 6:45pm while the last of eight races will be ran at 10:15pm. It won’t be just the local trainers trying their luck to win the feature race with $30,000 in prizemoney up for grabs at 9:15pm.

Patrons will gain admission and a buffet dinner in the bistro for only $20 by purchasing tickets at the main gate on the night. Those patrons will be treated to a smorgasbord of roasted meats, pasta, curries and salads.

The action is not just restricted to on the track, with the public lawn once again turning into a dance floor between races with an accoustic duo pumping out all the latest tunes from the new stage above the Sports Bar. The kids won’t be left disappointed with free kids rides and activities on course from 5:30pm including a jumping castle and chair-o-plane. Plus the latest addition to the Cranbourne Racing Centre, the new playground, will be lit up so the kids can climb, swing and slide to their heart’s content.

Admission for the remaining night meetings for the season is only $10 for adults and $7 for concessions and gates open at 4pm.
